The Power of Dreams
A Dream Solves a Puzzling Theft
By VA
My family lives in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. But we also have a house near Aba, a large commercial center. Relatives and friends often stay there when they do business in the area.
This arrangement worked well until we discovered a valuable item missing from the house. We quickly realized it had been stolen.
Initially, all the evidence pointed to Mike. To compound the situation, another person in the house, Paul, went to great lengths to find out what happened to the missing item. He was certain that Mike was the culprit, and he worked hard to convince us of Mike's guilt.
Mike didn't help matters. He was overwhelmed by the accusation and just kept repeating that he was innocent.
I was confused. Mike and I had been close friends since childhood, and my heart told me he was innocent. But how could I explain that to the rest of my family when I had no proof?
After a few more days of arguments and accusations, I knew I needed more help to solve this puzzle. So I asked the Mahanta to please help me discover the truth.
That night, I had a vivid dream.
I am standing in the house just before the theft. Mike and Paul are both there too.
Paul asks Mike to go on an errand. He wants something from a store that is miles away. Mike agrees and leaves the house.
As soon as he leaves, Paul is free to do what he wants. He steals the item and quickly gets it out of the house. When Mike returns, Paul is gone.
I woke up startled. I could hardly believe what I had seen.
Paul—the person who first "noticed" the item was missing and started the investigation—was actually the one who stole it! He had cleverly manipulated the facts to turn suspicion toward Mike.
I thanked the Mahanta for the insights of the dream, then decided to talk with Mike and my family once again.
I gathered everyone together and asked Mike if someone had sent him on an errand that day.
To everyone's surprise, Mike answered yes. He said Paul had sent him to buy something from the store. But when he returned, Mike was surprised to find that Paul was no longer at the house. In the heat of all the accusations, Mike had forgotten to tell us about it.
This revelation threw Paul into confusion. He had no answer to the barrage of questions that followed, and soon everyone realized that Paul was the real culprit.
In a few minutes, we were able to unravel a mystery that had troubled us for days.
I am thankful to the Mahanta for all his help in my life. With the insight of this dream, we were able to solve the riddle of the theft and protect an innocent man from a false accusation.
