The Secret of Life
A Letter Holds the Secret of a Happier Life

Over the last few months, I faced some very difficult challenges. These painful situations began to change my happy, joyful attitude to one of anger and sadness.
During this time, I moved my health practice into a new clinic. On my first day there, I met Suzanne. We quickly became friends.
Two weeks later, Suzanne was fired. Still, we remained close friends, and she often stopped by to bring me tea and chat.
One day, I'd had a very bad day. When Suzanne arrived with tea in hand, I began to talk about all my feelings of pain and sorrow. She just listened.
After I finished, she told me she was doing a project with some friends. They were collecting letters written by people giving tips, wisdom, and insights about life and then mailing these letters to children around the world.
She would not tell me any more, but she asked if I'd be willing to write a letter for the project. I agreed and told her I'd give it to her the next day.
That night I had a dream.
I am standing on an ice field in Alberta. Everywhere I look, there are cracks in the ice that go on for miles. I know if I fall into one of these cracks, I will never come out alive. Suddenly I feel myself slipping.
Then I woke up. I knew this was a message from Divine Spirit telling me how important it was not to slip in consciousness by dwelling too much on the difficulties of my life.
But life seemed so hard. So I asked the Mahanta to show me how to rise above it all.
The next morning, Suzanne came by to pick up the letter I wrote. Later that day, she visited me again, this time with a letter for me.
When she handed the envelope to me, I was surprised. It was my own letter! But she had crossed off what I had written at the top and replaced it with "Dearest Jane."
Her added note read: "Jane. You are a child of the world! The advice you have written is exactly what you need right now! Heed your own advice. Suzanne."
Here is what I had written in my letter:
My name is Jane, and I am fifty years old. I am so happy to share with you what I believe to be the secret of life.
You are a spark of God.
We are all Soul.
Your purpose in life is to learn how to give love and how to receive love.
Do whatever you can to love yourself.
Don't hold on to any grudges, as they will make you very sick.
You came into this world with a gift; find it and use it.
When confronted with difficulties, ask yourself, "What would love do now?"
When you make a mistake, admit it!
Honesty is what you do when no one is looking.
The most special gift God gave us is the HU. HU is a love song to God. Sing it every day to open your heart and become connected to God.
When you sing HU, every cell in your body vibrates at a higher frequency, and more love will come into your life.
Laugh, live, and always look at the bright side of life.
I love you, and so does God!

Well, this was exactly the answer I needed! The wisdom of the Holy Spirit was already in my heart; I just couldn't see it in the moment. All I can say is thank you, Mahanta, for this wonderful gift.
