True Security
A Nigerian Man and His Family Escape Harm through the Protection of the Inner Master
By IO
One December night, armed robbers attacked my neighbor. I called the police, but they didn't come in time. The thieves shot two of my neighbors.
Then they came to my house.
The men banged several times on my gate, demanding that we let them in. I told the gatekeeper not to open the gate and asked him to join my family in the house.
Undaunted, the robbers threatened to pull the fence down and burn the house unless we opened the gate.
When we didn't respond, they began to pull the fence down.
"Stop!" I called to them. "What you're doing isn't right!"
Undeterred they pulled down the fence and made their way into the house.
But I had a firearm. As the first man entered, I took aim, ready to protect my family.
I was about to pull the trigger, when I heard a familiar voice behind me say, "Don't shoot!"
I recognized the voice as that of the Inner Master, Wah Z. I turned around and saw the face of the Mahanta smiling at me from a photograph. Immediately, I felt safe and protected.
I put the gun down. Keeping my eyes open, I began to chant the ancient name for God, HU, and then Z (short for Wah Z). With a heart full of love, I sang over and over again, HU-Z.
As I chanted, more of the robbers were coming into the house. When five of them had entered, the leader outside fired some shots and commanded, "Kill everybody, destroy everything, and burn the house!"
But rather than obey their boss, the robbers began acting strangely. They moved slowly around the house, not hurting us or damaging the house. They didn't seem able to follow their leader's orders.
Soon the leader began calling them names and berating them for not doing what he commanded. Eventually, with no harm to my family or property, the robbers simply left.
When the men had gone, the police finally arrived. I discovered that my neighbors were still alive and took them to the hospital for treatment.
This experience taught me that in spite of all the security devices I have, only the Mahanta can provide true spiritual security. More than ever before, I am grateful for his ever-present love.
