A Personal Experience with Towart Managi
Here is a true story about a woman who had an experience with Towart Managi:
By Sri Harold Klemp
When a doubtful seeker wondered, Which is the right path for me? Towart Managi helped her receive an answer.
Bobbie had many experiences with ECK Masters as a child. She often dreamed of the love of God as Light and Sound, but in growing up, she lost sight of her search for God as the number-one priority in her life. At the end of high school, however, she came across a teaching from India that had a certain appeal for her.
Was it her path to God?
Three years later, she found The Tiger's Fang by Paul Twitchell. Bobbie discovered in reading it that Paul described some of the very places she'd traveled to on the inner planes—only Paul had gone far beyond her experiences. He had been to the very heart of God. This new information seemed only to bring confusion to her situation. Which was her real path to God? How would she know, and could she have a sign?
Then Bobbie had a dream that left no doubt as to which spiritual path was the best one for her.
In the dream, ECK Master Towart Managi was holding a conversation with the leader of the Indian path she'd encountered in high school. She listened with great care to the points made on either side of the discussion. In the end, the path that lit up for her was that of Eckankar. It was a sure sign. Still in a later conversation with Towart, she'd ask, "Why do I need to follow any outer path? Why can't I just receive everything now, in this moment?"
Towart threw back his head and laughed with unconcealed merriment. He asked if she were to build a boat, would she gather up her best estimation of building materials and then start experimenting, starting over time and again, to reinvent a boat. Or would she be willing to go to boatbuilding school and graduate?
A most persuasive point.
So upon awakening in the morning, Bobbie sent for her Eckankar membership. She'd found her answer and especially the true Satsang (study of the ECK works) she'd been seeking since childhood. In that life-changing dream, Towart Managi had helped her find answers to her search for the Master, the Sound Current, and the true initiation.
Her meeting with the ECK Master thus removed all doubt about which path was the right one for her
