Harold Klemp served as the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ, the Living ECK Master from October 22, 1981 through October 21, 2025. As part of a long line of spiritual Adepts who have served throughout history in every culture of the world, his mission was to help seekers reach their full spiritual potential.
Inspired by inner experiences beyond the scope of the orthodox church of his upbringing, Sri Harold became a seeker early in life. In the late 1960s, he found the ECK teachings. His training under the ancient line of ECK Masters then led to his experience of God-Realization. His talks and writings show people how to pursue their own unique journey to Self-Realization and God-Realization.
During his tenure as the Mᴀʜᴀɴᴛᴀ, the Living ECK Master, Harold Klemp served as the spiritual leader for tens of thousands of people in over 120 countries who subscribe to a powerful spiritual study program for students of ECKANKAR. This includes written courses, spiritual exercises to experiment with, and the opportunity to join a Satsang (spiritual study) class.
His body of work includes more than one hundred books, which have been translated into eighteen languages and won multiple awards. The miraculous, true-life stories he shares lift the veil between heaven and earth.

What Is the Inner and Outer Master?
In ECK, there is the principle of the Inner and Outer Master. The Outer Master is myself as the spiritual leader of Eckankar. But there is also an inner part, which we call the Inner Master, who gives spiritual instruction to each person as he or she needs it.
