How the Fifteen Times Exercise <br>Deepens Meditation

15x Exercise

Spiritual exercises offer more than just peace of mind—they help awaken Soul to its divine nature. Much like meditation, spiritual exercises help us access parts of ourselves we didn’t know existed.

What Is the Fifteen Times Exercise?

The Fifteen Times Exercise is a transformational spiritual technique as straightforward as its name.  Write a positive, present-tense statement of how or what you wish to be fifteen times on a piece of paper. For example:   I am happy, healthy, wise and free. (Repeat.)

The Power of “I Am” in Spiritual Meditation and Spiritual Exercises

There is a difference between the Fifteen Times Exercise and more passive affirmations. The statement “I am” puts one firmly in the present moment, rather than stating “I want to be,” or “Someday I will…”

This shift in language taps into the powerful “as if” principle. This is the technique of imagining that you already are or have that which you desire, and then living from the state of the wish fulfilled. In doing so, you step into that reality you want by thinking “from the end.” You are using the creative power of Soul.

Spiritual Exercise for the Soul

Spiritual meditation can be viewed as exercise, because it’s a “workout” for the most sacred part of yourself. You exercise your body and mind. Why not exercise yourself as a spiritual being?

Just as physical strength builds over time, so does spiritual strength and, in turn, awareness. By regularly doing spiritual meditation exercises, you gradually become more in tune with your Higher Self—more creative, more loving, and more aligned with your divine purpose.

An Active Form of Meditation

While many think of meditation as sitting in silence or focusing on the breath, Eᴄᴋᴀɴᴋᴀʀ emphasizes using the creative imagination, a divine gift. The Fifteen Times Exercise can be a form of active meditation—creating a bridge between intention and actual experience.

Much like chanting HU—another core practice in Eᴄᴋᴀɴᴋᴀʀ—the Fifteen Times Exercise helps align the practitioner with the divine cause in one’s life.

Try the Fifteen Times Exercise

You can try it now. Begin by crafting a present-tense statement that reflects your highest spiritual aspiration. Write your declaration 15 times. Hear the words as you write. Let the vibration of the words settle into your heart.

You may find the phrasing shifts a bit as you write. This is natural and is evidence of you coming into a higher agreement with your goal.

The Fifteen Times Exercise is a powerful doorway. It allows you to shape your inner reality and to approach life with more clarity, strength, and confidence.  Spiritual effort doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be consistent. And it can start with a simple step: “I am…”

You can hear an example of how the Fifteen Times Exercise works for a long-time student of Eᴄᴋᴀɴᴋᴀʀ, Heather Davari, interviewed by Doug Kunin, vice president of Eᴄᴋᴀɴᴋᴀʀ, on the Eᴄᴋᴀɴᴋᴀʀ Soul Adventure Podcast.  Check out this chapter of “Encounters with Inner Spiritual Guides” on the YouTube version of the podcast.

BONUS TIP:   Be alert to changes. “As time goes on, watch how the Holy Spirit begins to make changes in your life. Little things will happen. For instance, if you’re looking for happiness, events will start to shape themselves where you have new choices. It’s up to you to make the right choice, but doors will begin to open for you.”  â€”ECK Master Harold Klemp

BONUS TIP:  You might follow the Fifteen Times exercise with a few minutes of chanting HU as a way to deepen the connection and invite divine insight.  “Singing HU each day can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and why things happen the way they do in your life. It carefully opens your awareness to new viewpoints and attitudes.”  —ECK Master Harold Klemp
